Overview
This medicine combines candesartan cilexetil and hydrochlorothiazide in tablet form to help lower high blood pressure (hypertension) by expanding blood vessels and removing excess fluid, thereby reducing cardiovascular risk.
What is it used for?
Indication: This medication is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) in adult patients. It is specifically formulated as an oral tablet combining candesartan cilexetil and hydrochlorothiazide.
Active ingredients
Candesartan cilexetil, Hydrochlorothiazide
How it works
Candesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker that relaxes blood vessels by preventing angiotensin II from tightening them, while hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that helps eliminate excess salt and water through the kidneys. Together, they reduce blood pressure by dilating blood vessels and decreasing fluid volume in the body.
